im sure that his car was the mock up car for the exhaust.
ive only heard the exhaust at idle, sounds a little more throaty, i never heard it at wot or anything, so i cant wait to get it installed.

Turbo back is only $675?

Where can I look for this at and how did you get it installed?

Oh wait never mind its just a CBE so we all know the story on that. With out a DP its pretty much a sound upgrade from what I have read.

Can get the MS CBE for cheaper then that but realize I have to spend about 1k to do it right.

actually its a downpipe-back which is different, now all i need is a downpipe and not a race pipe/downpipe.

Hmm I didnt realize that.

I thought a DP was the same thing as the all the others. Still sounds like you have a CBE which is 3" and the stock DP which is 2.5" so you still need to spend another $400 or so to make it right.

Seems about the same as the 1k it cost from CPE for the full deal.

the vibrant replaces the stock 2nd cat with a high flow one

ya if i had a "cbe", i would need to spend another $160 for the test pipe.

i think for the stock turbo you need a little bit of backpressure

keep in mind the vibrant pipe is 3" inner diameter, whereas the MS CBE is 3" outer diameter. I'm not sure about the CP-E one.

So this system is $675.00 and it replace the 2nd cat with a highflow cat is this correct? The sound is awesome, i just bought the mazdaspeed catback and it doesn't have half the sound that yours has. The highflow cat really makes a huge difference in sound that i can see(or hear).

The turbo is backpressure. The less backpressure after the turbo, the more efficiently the turbine can work. (deadhorse

Lets see... we'll attatch a shop vac to a turbo. Instead of letting the air blowing out of the turbo go right through, we'll make the exhaust port smaller and somehow it will make the turbine spin faster. (uhm)

EDIT: it does sound good though. (cool)

Pressure ratio is what you need. High pressure before the turbo and low pressure after. Best thing you can do is run no exhaust after the turbo.

I was told by a drag racer that any improvement in inner diameter on some section of the exhaust system will make a difference..how much difference?? has to be objectively measured. But nonetheless it will make a difference. So it's not only a sound upgrade. Especially with the addition of high flow cat on the test pipe, it relieves the back pressure that would otherwise be there and hinders the flow.

Oville, I ordered it and it should come soon. I like the sound compare to all other cbe i heard. Thanks for the vids.

The stock downpipe is probably the next to go.
