Its been done before. I read it on another forum before i found this one. I think all the guy did was change the valve springs and tossed it on. its a hi-boost kit, about 4K, and the internals i think can last up to 8psi. dont know for sure, but i think my memory serves me well, havent visited that site since i found this one
found it! it is made my hi-boost, internals are able to hold about 8psi, and all the guy did was change his springs to serve on his auto. on a stock exhaust you see about 220hp

yeah lantech or lentech i can't remember the name makes valve bodie upgrades and other auto tranny upgrades for our car i would look into those options before boost and i would also suggest hi-boost for a full kit instead of an hks piece meal kit.
i didnt know hi-boost made a kit for the 3 yet, i thought the only option was hks(which i didnt like the sound of in the first place). ok, i'll check them out. if anyone else has anything please write. i would rather wait another year to hear what people have to say than throw a turbo in tomorrow and gernade my trans. thanks peeps.

i would think its a universal kit which means a lot of fab work where as the hiboost kit is plug and play and has the most kits sold for our cars by far...

You also need to get a trans cooler. He was running that and the Lantech valvebody, which last time i check on another forum those are both for sale because the guy i think everyone is talking about has gone back to stock.
Edit:
Oh and I believe, not 100% sure how he corrected it, but for a long time he was not able to leave it on auto but had to use the auto-manual shift.

all the cool kids are doing it!
the hiboost kit has been around for a long time now. we offer it for both the 2.0 and 2.3. build quality is always top notch and the kits are very complete.
