Hello;
i was wondering if anyone has a vedio of a protege or p5, with a full exhuast system. intake exhuast and headers?
I would like to get some hearders but am not sure if i would like the sound. i just want to get a idea of what it sounds like with headers.
thanks

It would sound bad ass, and screw what it sounds like... theres no better starter level N/A performance mod than a header.

if you don't want to be too loud, get a header, mazdaspeed cat-pipe, and magnaflow or racing beat exhaust.
i just installed a ractive header, mazdaspeed cat-pipe, and magnaflow exhaust and it sounds great. not "ricey", and not that much louder than stock. (even passed the "wife test")
sorry, no videos or sound files.

i dont want to sound like a noob but what is the mazdaspeed cat-pipe? is that the down pipe? because i do have a full catback from racing beat. Now.... do all headers make the same noise?
thats a very nice pic you have Nik, i like the hid fog lights

make sure you get the right exhaust to compliment the headers or you'll end up sounding like a civic fart can....like today some asshole in an old old crx that was slammed was being a jerk and riding my ass with some louder than hell headers...normally a fart can is a muffler...in this case the guys whole car was a fart can

and i believe by cat-pipe he means mid-pipe (the pipe with the catalytic converters)

A full exhaust is really loud. lol My old set up was an AWR header, CAI, MAM catless midpipe and a full Magna-Flo cat-back. I was scared to drive it because it was so loud. Now I have a K & N drop in filter, AWR header, MAM catless midpipe, stock P-5 cat-back system and MP3 ECU. I really like the sound now. Not too loud, but still a decent little growl. hehe
Have a look...Me in my P-5 and, my buddy Wes in his MS3. (punk) j/p

running no cats is what makes it loud - the cat-pipe is the pipe right after the header, with the cat-converters in it... the mazdaspeed version has two cats

Don't run catless. Buy a header.
