I don't know what happened, I just got home and pulled in, and I noticed alot of oil where my car was for about 10 seconds while the garage door opened. I didn't really look at where it was coming from yet, becuase of poor lighting. But does anyone have an idea what it might be, maybe the turbo? I just bought this car Saturday and it already has problems, wtf? Please help me, Ill look at it with a flashlight and get back.

ok so, i dont think its the turbo, i looked at it and the back of the engine had alot of oil sprayed everywhere. Couldn't tell where it came from, there was some around the pan, by the bolt, the filter, it sprayed everywhere. So I didn't start it up to check, anyone know of any common oil leak problems on the rear part of the engine?
*EDIT*
Ok so it's somewhere in the mid-rear to passenger side rear part of the engine. Looks like its coming from somewhere around the filter or so. I'm almost positive its not the head gasket, but it may be the oil pan gasket. I guess I'll just take it to a shop tomorrow and see whats going on. I wish I had a lift so I could get a better look.
that would be awesome if it was just the filter, 5 dollar fix. lol. Please let me know if you have any ideas what it might be.

I had a problem with my oil pressure sensor leaking. It's right next to the oil filter. Mine wasn't spraying all over but it was dripping a little.

Is the oil filter tight?

hopefully its just your oil pressure sensor or a poorly installed oil filter. good luck!

Is the oil filter tight?
thats what i was going to ask...that and you might want to check if there was an old seal stuck in there too...

so i looked at it, decided i couldnt do it without a lift... so I took it to the shop and its around that sensor or servo or w/e that thing is right to the left of the oil filter. So hopefully it doesn't cost to much

That's just the oil pressure sensor. It could just be the o-ring that seals it.

See that was my guess once they were able to put it on a lift, but I just got this a less than a week ago. I dont really know anything about Mazda so I'll let them do it this time. I was a Honda guy for along time. Have to work my confidence up with a new company before I jump in the ring, lol. Hopefully it'll be done tomorrow.

turns out it was some nipple on the oil pressure sensor, cheap fix. Thanks for your help.
