If you have an automatic, LEAVE IT! The cars aren't much different if you tapshift properly. Esp not $1500 different.


Get some cams. That's probably my next step. It's good times.

Nonsense. You'd have to spend way more than the cost of a manual transmission to get an NA auto P5 to be quicker than a stock manual P5.

MP3 ECU, underdrive pulley, JDM cams, maybe remove VTCS.

The MP3 has different timing and afr curves which require premium gas and give better power throughout the rev range. But they're in high demand and hard to come by--there's a long list of people who want them.

VTCS is a cold-start emissions reduction system which also inhibits flow. There's a weak concensus that removing it improves power and response. Search on VTCS removal for more info.
