Michael just got him a blue msp (today actually) and he had an extra keyless remote and my car didnt come with one so were wondering if i can take his extra remote and program it to my car and if so how?

ok so i tried to search how to unprogram the remote but didnt find anything?!?! do i need to unprogram the remote from michaels car? we tried to program mine when his was next to mine and it didnt work thats why i was wondering if we have to unprogram it from his car then program it to mine. how to unprogram would be nice if anyone knows how

another question...now that i have my remote programmed its still programmed to michaels car so everytime i lock or unlock my car michaels does it too...so i was wondering how to get his from doing that??

Well I'm not sure if the same holds true for the MSP, but with my remote entry setup on my old car if you wanted to unprogram a remote you had to program overtop of the old remote. I think my old car had something like four remotes that it could remember, but you can use the same remote in multiple memory slots... so basically what I'm saying is get him to try reprogramming his remote 4 or 5 times and then see if your remote still unlocks his car.

Keep in mind that you're not actually programming the remote to unlock the car, you're programming the car to respond to the remote's signal.
