Tranny or clutch????????

Not sure what to think of this. When I let the clutch out from a dead stop I get a little knocking sensation in the clutch pedal. I feel it at the very top of when I let the clutch out. It just started and it doesnt happen everytime.

Just wondering what it could be, I have a long trip to Myrtle Beach S.C. from NY. in just a couple of days. (dunno)

Now obviously I could be wrong....but my first thought is clutch. I would have that checked out before you leave. You would not want to have your clutch go out while you are out of town. :)

Does the whole car shake, or just in the pedal? Take a peek at your engine mounts and make sure the engine isn't moving around too much. I've also seen clunks/ popping sounds coming from the linkage under the dash. I'm a tech in Albany, I'll take a look at it if you want.

Just the pedal. The feeling on the pedal is not a hard knock. Its like a real light tapping. Its sporadic.
