Hey guys,

Well my new mazda is being very good to me except this ... when I am shifting from 1st to 2nd, 2nd doesnt seem to want to go in as easy as all the other gears ... just wondering if anyone else had this happen? I am bringing in tomorrow for them to look at it.

Take it to your dealer. I am sorry that you are having trouble. :(

just went to the dealer ... the head mechanic wasnt there today so they are going to call me next week when he is around ... yah its weird because going from 3rd to 2nd goes fine but 1st to 2nd is tougher to do. Other wise I am very happy with the car :)

Had this happen on a truck and the syncros were out from me screwing up and grinding them here and there.

Some dumb ass could have test drove it and grinded them for you. Thats what I would tell them so they dont think it was you.

Wife has been wanting to drive the car but hasnt had a stick for 10 years so I told her forget it, lol. This would be a good reason to not let someone unfamiliar with a stick driver your car.

I know how it is. I think I learned to drive manual about 8 years ago with our Civic LX. LOL Yeah trust me I would be worried with just anyone driving our car too.
