What FWD sports coupe is the best all around performer?

If I were buying one of those for myself I'd get the accord.
However, I don't see myself in the market for a vanilla "sports" coupe anytime soon.

I dunno - none of them really scream "buy me" - but I'd pick the Altima if I had to choose one.

driven them all. I like the G6 the best. Actually most of the GM products has been pretty good lately.

Altima for me.

You all knew that I would vote for the Alty. I've driven all four. I think the Altima is the best out of the 4 with the Accord in second.

Not a big fan of any of them especially when a Pointiac GTO is only 1 or 2 grand more and vast superior ot any of these offerings but if I had to choose it would be the Altima due to its strong proven motor and much improved interior then the Pontiac then the Eclipse then the Accord.
I actually prefer the Eclipse MIVEC V6 to the pontiacs mill but I can't get around its looks. As for the accord coupe, its a bloated overpriced boring joke and I would never ever consider one. At least the ugly eclipse has some character.

The GTO does not fit into this poll not being FWD. I would pick the GTO over any of these if its was in this comparo. 400hp and RWD.

Forgot to take that into consideration. I guess what I was trying to say is if I was in the market for a 2 door coupe and a GTO was available, then all of these cars would be rendered irrelevant. But seeing as the criteria includes FWD then the Alitima would be my first choice followed by the G6 e.t.c

fwd ftl. If i had to buy one it would be the accord first, altima second, and then, well the eclipse. I dislike the eclipse' style but I really don't care for gm products at all.

But the accord is just....so.......vanilla and blob like
Gaboost

The eclipse is blob like. The accord has a smooth, quick revving vtec v6 attached
to a six-speed trans with one of the best feeling shift action around.

none of the above

Not crazy about any of them at all, but I'm sure the Accord is the best overall driver's car.
I'm sure the new 2008 Accord is a better car than the 2008 Nissan. But I'd always go sedan instead of the coupe if I could get the big engine and stick. Never understood the point of coupes. (I say as someone who owned a '93 SE-R in high school and college... oh well, no good engine in the 4-door.)

It would be if Mazda sold a FWD coupe.

that's true. Though I typically prefer 4 doors than 2. Smaller doors might be smaller, but less chance of slamming them into other cars...

we should set all the cars on fire and vote on which one burns the brightest. none of the cars have any character. but if I was hit in the head and decided to buy one I would get the g6. have to keep the general alive.

I'd take the Hyundai Tiburon more tuner oriented, very good looking and lots of after market :)

I'm with you on this one. I'd take a tiburon over all ofthe above. Its better looking than all of them especially in black. And with the money you saved buying it, supercharge that sucker and let them all eat your dust!

That is true but will not have any resale value in a year. What year did this tibby come out?

If theres crap resale buy it used! Although I bought my tibby brand new and love how it's supercharged at 260 whp 6 speed and still drives great with no problems (knock on wood). I think the tibby is mighty sexy in styling and because it's resale isn't that great you can pick up a used one in good shape for a good price (although the newer hyundais resale are getting much better now). There was some guy on NT.com that sold his tib with 197k miles on it. When maintained they can be mighty reliable.

No when did the current tibby come out? Was it 2003? I know a chick with a S/C Tibby which is nice and fast. I see why to many Tibbies around here. More then the current Eclipse.
