For under a Grand, i can see the K-sports and MAYBE the Teins. But no way on Gods green earth would the AWR's be even close to kissing $1k on a GB. But goodluck none the less (thumb)yeah, awrs wont be much less than 1800 haha. i might be in for a set of teins

i might be able to do ksports or teins. i would need five buyers bare minimum. AWRs for a grand? not a chance in hades, sorry.

I advise people not to get Ksports. A lot of show and very poor quality coilovers.

Just a thought before people waste their money like I did. I don't do heavy driving or drifting or anything and I blew two struts with less than 2.5 years life on them.

My friend who does a lot of autocross and what not drove my car for a bit and said it felt like the spring was too over powering for the strut, thus the reason for the blown struts. I'd go for Basics or SS.

Thanks chris, i read that thread but forgot about it. My vote would go toward the tein basic coilovers now instead of the ksports.

I never said any thing about getting AWRs for a grand, I just said I wanted them :)

i'd have to read more into the thread of how PTP designed them and what parts he used. if they were in fact manufactured by the same company as Megan Racing's coilovers then the Teins will absolutely be better for the money.

plus those are for a mazda3 from the looks of the pictures, not a protege. if you want to sub in and buy them though, be my guest. (first)

how does Tein Basics for around $950 sound? i won't know until monday how many sets I can get, when I can get them and the final price details. if you're interested, PM me. otherwise, this thread is done.
