why is the flange on the midpipe bent on one side (at the end that has the cutout)?

i dont think the j-pipe will bolt to stock cats but the midpipe will fit with stock exhaust. its bent to fit the j-pipe. look at the stock cats they are a little bent.

i havent had any problems with the fit. i have taken it on and off to weld the cutout on and have had no problems with the fit. it fits perfect.

What midpipe is that, part of the CS power series exhaust but modified? Or is it a SLS midpipe?

midpipe was made at an exhaust shop. then has a $200 electric cutout welded on.

it has a very good advantage for you.
since you will be having a kid soon, you don't want a loud ass exhaust.
with this, you can keep your stock exhaust and piping and when you are ready to let her RIP, you switch it and instantly have a FULL 20" exhaust...lol

it'll be loud as fuck, but, how often would you use it?

mmm yea I feel you alejo.. I have a a catless 3in with a 4in muffler outlet. though there is a silencer on it, it's still loud as ever. I feel like kicking it sometimes. Are you back at it Jeremy? I thought u were totaled.
