Most likely he would have arrested you if it was a criminal offense. I would say don't worry, it may just be a standard speeding ticket...nothing more. I obviously don't know for sure since you are in a different state.

I thought 25-30 over the speed limit was considered felony reckless driving......man, if you get a ticket for 33 over and don't have your insurance go up I want your lawyer's card

In Florida, speed alone cannot be used as a basis for reckless driving. Speed + weaving etc. can be. You didn't get arrested so the worst that can happen is you'll get 4 points, which you can reduce or eliminate with traffic school. Not sure if traffic school can take 4 points off, might just be 3.

I think in FL 2x's the limit and they will tow your car and say good bye to your lisence for 5 years. I honestly dont think 33 over is that bad, I do it all the time, heck I do over 2x's sometimes.

i got a 20 over ticket in jersey. and i could choose to fight it. but i opted not too because i had no case to back it up with. so i forked over the 200 dollar fine accompanied with 4 points and 1 year probation after driving school, which costed 100 bucks and then 150 every may in DMV surcharge.lol
expensive mistake. last time im ever up front with a cop. ever.

Always fight it. It doesn't matter if you have evidence or not the prosecuter almost always drops the points on your insurance unless you are a multiple offender.

i got a ticket for 77 in a 45... all i did was take a driving class and pay the reduced ticket fee...no court, no points...

and I've had 2 speeding tickets, non over 15 though, but like they said FL is pretty forgiving about tickets. make sure you call one of those mailers you'll get and you'll be set.

? how because i got caught speeding in FLORIDA and u live in cali?

Yeah, because speeding is speeding no matter where you live. Usually you have to get a ticket yourself to kick you own ass and slow down for a while but reading all the latests posts makes me be more careful.
Watch I bet you drive slow as shit now for a while because of your ticket, I know when I got one a while back I did.

Yep.... No problem. THE key in most states is to go to court and plead guilty. I have always had the judge reduce the tickets OR if you can get to the DA that is prosecuting you via your attorney THAT works good too before it gets to the judge. Some states offer online drivers courses as well.
