I heard Tru-Boost got the prototype and all of the following ones are set to his specifications. Is this accurate??? Placed order for a black BPV over the phone. Fast and easy. Forgot to ask if a gasket is included. I would expect so. Anybody know for sure?

Aric took my order and then I got to speak to Ken briefly. I asked about the extra springs to change the pressure settings. Ken will confirm if they are included with the BPV or if they're optional.

I'd like to have them for tuning purposes later on. I currently run the ETS TMIC, Fujita CAI and a custom 3" single outlet exhaust from downpipe back and will get the CPE Standback when it's available as PNP. Tuning and bit more boost will be in the works at that time.

My other mods are TWM short shifter and SU rear mount.

I just installed the Forge BPV with the yellow spring which took about 10 minutes to install and WOW! My boost gauge is showing that I'm able to hold boost in the upper RPMs which the stock BPV never did at WOT.

In sixth gear I'm able to stomp on the pedal and my boost holds to a solid 15 psi and never dropped.

The Forge came with three springs (Blue Yellow and Red). The blue spring came installed with the Forge BVP. It came with NO instructions so I tried twisting the upper half and it unscrewed with no problem. Once the valve was twisted open, I simply took out the blue spring and dropped in the yellow spring. It's that easy! No frick'n "C" flange clip to fight with and it sits so stealth under the flap of the IC cover.

My only other mod is the air box resonator delete and when the Forge releases its pressure, the valve lets off a tiny sounding "beep" which sort of sounds like the stock radio/stereo beep but more faint. No "sneeze" like the BOV's that are out there.

Great mod for the price and my car pulls much stronger. thanks Ken for setting this up.

That smaller one that just makes it under the cover (and causes problems for those with the HKS)... it fits... just not as snug as it did on the stocker. Go figure. It works fine anyway and a little adjustment took care of that too.

I did an edit to my post and added a pic. Yes, if you are refering to the top vaccum hose, yes it fit snug around the nipple and the hose clamp slid down and clamped down tight.

I was able to tighten the top half of the valve back around 180 degrees after I swapped the spring, which allowed the vaccum hose to face away from the leading edge of the IC flap so it wouldn't get pinched when the hood closed.

BTW Ken, has the 2nd batch gone out yet?
My guess would be that the yellow spring falls into the PSI range of the stock turbo for the MS6, so I'm assuming it will be safe.

My test drive yesterday with the Forge was short but today as I drove to work my boost gauge was showing me that I was holding boost longer in the upper RPMs and the car pulled strong.

FYI- I did reset the ECU (pulled the neg. terminal on batt.) so I'm sure the performance will steadly improve as the ECU re-learns the fuel trims and my driving habits.

Just got my polished BPV in the mail. I will let you know what it sounds like later today after the install. Came with one red and one blue spring. I am going to run it with installed spring first.

Finally installed. Took about 10 minutes. Took it for a spin and it sounds amazing. Almost sounds like the HKS BOV. If you keep your foot out of it you won't hear it at all only under slightly heavy acceleration which keeps the car in that stealth mode. Not sure if I will ever use the other springs since I am not sure what purpose they serve. Great product! Thanks Ken!

I called and talked to Ken briefly on Tuesday afternoon (July 10). At the time he was expecting the next batch of BPVs to arrive and be shipped out on the Wed, hence his posting on Wed the 11th about getting "tracking numbers for everyone ASAP".

Since I got charged two days ago or so, I've tried about 6 times on Wednesday at various times, about 5 times yesterday, and I tried another 3 times today.

Sorry Ken, I didn't realize it was because you guys were on the phone, I just assumed I'd get a busy. I don't think I ever tried outside of business hours..I think that call around 10am EST was later than that.

I've had some bad experiences lately with group buys, so I was a bit worried I was continuing to have bad luck...this is obviously not the case.

Those two disks are spacers to firm up the spring. You will use them if you find one spring to stiff and the other to soft.

EDIT: Fixed it up just now, just wondering if there's a way to change the angle of the big hole ? It's at some angle and i have to force the tube into it with a wierd angle now..hard to get the BPV to sit but eventually got it to sit and screw it tight down.

USPS can be 4 to 5 days heading east. When did people start expecting things to arrive overnight. Does anybody remember when the post office seemed to lose just about everything?
