CX7 Touring + moonroof/Bose. Invoice from KBB = $25,831 iccl shipping. Dealer offered Invoice + $270 incluiding all doc fees & prep. OUT THE DOOR for invoice + $270 = $26,103 + sales tax. Anyone doing better or as good? Thank you. Ed in Florida

Because states have different taxes and license fees the "Out the Door" price varies widely.
Being from Florida myself if you payed 270 over invoice you did very well IMO.
Lic. and tax should not enter the equation.

The $270 over KBB invoice incl all doc fees but, not sales tax or licence transfer. Ed

Back with the rebates, I was able to part with $25,800 for an AWD GT with Bose/Moonroof/Homelink from the invoice price of $28,382 and $30,455 MSRP.
For $26,000 with no rebates, you did very well on the price

wow - 25,800 for an AWD w/bose & a homelink. that may be the lowest sales price on this board, and or in the country haha

Actually, it's not that low considering the $3500 rebate for a GT that was active in March ($2500 for Sport and $3000 for Touring). This offer is what prompted me to get the CX-7 a little earlier than I planned. And, add to that the $1000 AutoShow rebate, and my good deal could have even been better. The dealer kept $1750 from all the rebates, as well. It actually could of been cheaper, but I did not feel like pushing things too hard since it was already more than affordable. Without the rebates, and it would have been back to the $28,500 price they usually asked for the vehicle. So, 28,500 or so less $2750 got me to $25,800 and a nice affordable $193 per month lease payment.

FYI
Prices are really dropping. I just bought a new silver platinum GT AWD with moon/bose + remote start. boston area $24,500
That's $6030 below invoice!
We were considering a RAV4, but there is just no comparison at this price. Or with anything for that matter.

I was at my dealership last night, and the sales guy who sold me mine said they were moving a lot of them thanks to the aggressive pricing. Seems the number one trade-in was the Tahoe.

wow, i never new of that big rebate. that is massive considering it was before any end of the year clearance or model closeout. No wonder you nabbed a CX-7, cant beat a deal like that on a loaded car.

I bought mine March 10th and I only got the $1000 auto show rebate. Is there anyway to check and see if my dealer pulled a fast one on me and put $3500 in his pocket?

Well, as far as I know, the rebates were a national incentive program in the month of March. The autoshow bonus was a local one. Check your paperwork, since they cannot legally hide any rebates. There will be some type of notation on the finance agreement somewhere.

i was thinking about out of state. my friend tiffany works at showcase mazda in arizona, but then when i finance the rest, i have to bring it back and pay tax here. i can't finance the tax too. that's the only downside.

I bought mine at 'Courtesy' but there is another Mazda dealer as well, 'Peoples'. They're both owned by the same person.
Save up for the sales tax...should be in the neighborhood of $2,100.00 +/- at roughly 7.75% if you're looking at a GT like you say (at 30k) after negociating.

Well, I'll give you a precise run-down of what I got and paid according to my records...
2007 Mazda CX-7 GT FWD $26,300
Copper Red/Sand
Options:
1MC Moonroof/Bose $1,585
MRH Compass/Autodim/Homelink $250
Delivery $560
Subtotal: $28,695 sticker
Dealer Add-ons:
Window Tint $450
Desert Protection Package $1,500
Asking Price by the Dealer: $30,645
By Comparison's sake, Dealer invoice on the car was $26,797
The tint the dealer added was $150
The Protection Pkg added was $500
(I saw which company in town added each and how much they charged the dealer)
Meaning...the dealer's invoice after adding their stupid shit was $27,447.
I paid $27,561 +TTL which I believe is fair since I would have gotten the windows tinted anyway. The dealer made $114 off of me which I deemed a good deal.
Could I have gone somewhere else in Utah or AZ or CA to buy a car w/o the paint sealant if I thought that $500 was going to kill me? Sure, but how much would a plane ticket or gas and food and perhaps not quite as good a deal as I got here added up to? I figured $500 +/- so I took it here which saved me time as well.
Its all up to you. There are a lot of things to think about before heading to the dealer or while you're sitting there. Don't let them rush you, its a lot of money.
Good luck!!

anyone getting any discounts along with the x-plan? I have not had any luck in beating them down more than x-plan at the dealer I went to
their current incentives listed on their site blows its nothing special at all just lower financing rates which are not that good compared to american cars anyway

I purchased mine 2 weeks ago for invoice price. Sport model w/ awd. I'm sure I could have gone a little lower because all I did was tell them all I was paying was invoice + tt&l and they accepted without even haggling me. But this was the first new car I had ever purchased and I was getting all giddy or something, so I took the invoice price offer.
I would definately recommend anyone who goes to buy not accept anything above invoice.

I purchased mine this weekend.
2007 Copper Red Mica, Grand Touring, tech Package, rear bumper guard, and cargo net. Before TTL I paid $25,500 for a car who's sticker was $31,000. Took going to about 5 different dealers to get that deal though. I'm 23, and still took my dad with me because he has always been able to get such good deals on cars, he drives a hard bargin. He got them to throw in window tinting too.
Paid cash, they aren't willing to deal very much if you use the mazda financing b/c Mazda USA has to see the loans at such a discount b/c of the rates they are offering right now.

RE your question about discounts off of X-Plan pricing?
I bought my wife a new CX-7 in early July thru S-Plan pricing. It was purchased at invoice pricing LESS $1000 rebate WITH 0% 3 year financing.
That was early July, and I'm sure the incentives are much better now if you can still find an '07 model.
We were giving her slightly used SUV to my son to drive back to college in Texas so she could not wait for an '08. We normally keep 'em forever so year model matters little...
YMMV

Hello all just bought a CX7 here in NJ sadly cause my honda was totaled in a accident but not all is bad. I got my check from insurance and saw a cx7 in the same electric blue as my honda civic and had to drive it.. loved the way it felt for a vehicle of its size. they were asking 28900 for a FWD GT w/ bose 6disc and moonroof, autodim mirror. they gave me 3 crappy deals around 400 a month and I was putting down 8 grand. they tried to push a 6 year loan but I just wont have that.. I ended up getting it for 24000 even then told them I was putting down 10k and they were really mad about that... oh well been 3 weeks and I love it just wished I coulda kept my civic but the cx7 will fill its place well. pics of my old car and me and the new car below

I passed up the best deal on a CX7 touring AWD 2 weeks ago and my wife hates me for it because I tried to get 1000 more on the trade in. Was a 07 touring with 200 miles on it. Had everything moonroof, fogs, bose, leather, cargo stuff, etc...
Wanted 23995 for the car. Sticker was 30k+ for it. I was so pissed because they were off literally 1000 dollars on where I wanted the payments at for the wife. So we left thinking maybe we could get 500 tomorrow for it. I call them back the next day and it sold that night after I left. Ended up getting a 07 CX7 touring same color FWD with leather and cargo package thing for 22.4k In the end payments were 313 a month for it.
Kinda pissed my wife off because I was basically a grand more for getting so much more as she wanted a sunroof bad in it but we couldn't find another one that cheap with a sunroof.
I went to literally like 6-7 dealers over the pittsburgh area where I live. But in the end she got her car and she is happy with it. I have a turbo car as well and after having a turbo car it's hard not to buy another one.

I know, the thing is that, this will not be my car, it will be my father's(I already have a Rx-8 (lurk) )
He doesnt want too much *aftermarket* stuff, and would rather everything comes from the factory preinstalled.
I've been to the dealership today, the sales there really want to sell their 07s out. by the time I got there it already past their closing time. but the sales still pull me in to the back lot and show me the car. and said if I can sign the papers today he is willing to cut 3.2K off MSRP. the car has 32765 sticker price, I told him I might be back on monday, so Im thinking I can get maybe 4K off MSRP. what do you think ?

can you Roll the windows *up* and/or* down* with the remote ? I search and found something talk about it, its like press the Unlock button 2 times in 5 seconds or something ? Cuz I was at the dealership today and asked the sales, but he was like *huh, really? I didnt know about that*, so not sure if its true.
Can the Stock NAV plays DVD? or do I really really have to replace it aftermarket ones ?

Well then its a *kind of useless* NAV systems ... I know it has to do with laws that you cannot play DVDs while car is in motion but ... Charging 1.7K for a NAV system these days who canNOT play DVDs is a big rip off, I mean even my 900 bux HDD NAV system plays DVDs ...
Is the NAV system DVD base or HDD base ? cuz it doesnt say it on the mazda site.
I wonder if I remove the stock NAV system, will I be able to use the plugs so I dont have to wire the GPS antenna all the way again.
