Mr.Ames, you have Mazda 6 wheels right? Do Mazda 6 wheels have a 60mm offset? Do your 215's rub the strut?

The wheel itself will be awfully close to the strut, let alone the tire.

i had to get a wheel alignment to straighten out the wheels cuz they were touching the struts in the rear. i wonder if u could get a 225 in there with an offset of 50 or 55? mine are 60 and 225's would definately not fit

If you roll the rear fender lip you can accomidate 225, but that is a fat tire..

205/40/17s are what's recommended. Wider than that depending on your offset will mean slight mods. I had to have my fenders rolled with 215/45/17s

you can get 215/45-17s on with no rubbing with the offset around +48.

with 17 inch rims you gotta go with 215/40
not 215/45...itll be too high

Get smaller rims then...not bigger. 15" rims with 225s work great.

I did get smaller rims. I sold my RX-8 18" and I got 15" MX-6 M-Edition wheels with 205/50/15 Kumho Ecsta MX. I have the 17" Mazda 6 wheels for everyday driving.

Yeah, if it works on a P5, it'll work on a sedan. Sedans have slightly more clearance in the rear fenders.
