Just wanted to know if the P5's come equipped with a stock sway bar in the rear....

Are there any aftermarket sway bars out there that would be better??

yes, i believe its a 17mm. there are a few options:

1. msp sway bar, 19mm, very cheap, very common

2. AWR, they make (i think) a 19, and a 21.5

3. progress, 20mm

right wrong right wrong:
stock 17mm (17.5 by some measurements)
MSP 20mm
AWR 19, 21.5mm
Progress 22mm

So the longer the better I guess?

What am I looking at for prices??

those measurements are the diameter of the bar. The thicker the bar (higher the number) the stiffer it will be and in theory the greater effect it will have on handling.

True, but the stiffness of the bar also depends on its construction (tubular vs. solid), material, and the length of its "arms". All these factors make it hard to predict how a certain bar will affect handling.

The MSP bars usually go for less than $100 in the f/s subforum, but you'll at least need the MSP endlinks and bushings and brackets to match, figure another $75. If you want to do it right get the AXR bracket for a little less than $200 (all USD).

Progress bar is $130 on Ebay

Check awrracing.com or protegegarage for the AWR prices.

what about on the sedan models? i've been wondering how rear strut bars fit in the sedans.

Sway bars and strut bars are different animals.
