i plan on getting for sure the FS-ZE pistons for my 03 p5 that currently has on OBX header and mazdaspeed exhaust
1)what else while i need for the install?
2)should i get a mp3 ecu or an AFC?
3) IF i get the FS-ZE cams and intake manifold what else then should i get?

thank you so much?

1) new rings and wristpins
2) i'd say both given the option. the AFC merely controls fuel. if you add on an MP3 ecu you can give yourself a nice timing bump and use the AFC to control the fuel for it.
3) for the money i'd go with the integral cams honestly. as for other N/A mods i would say flywheel, clutch, underdrive pulley, intake, midpipe and catback exhaust. i am sure you probably have some of these.

i see you are in waukesha. feel free to drop by, you are not too far away!

would you need engine block work such as an over bore?

no i wouldnt need any of that just to put in the fsze pistons w/ rings and wristpins, installing afc and mp3 ecu

i got a question or two more about the FS-ZE piston install?
have you or your garage installed these before or do you know exactly what i will all need?
for instance new head gaskets etc?
i was told that no matter what, if you get higher compression pistons you have to get a bigger or smaller head gasket or something like that?

you do not need a thicker head gasket. using one of those would negate the benefits anyhow. you should buy new hardware anyways because thats the proper way to rebuild an engine. you will need a valve cover gasket, head gasket, head bolts, rod bearings, crank bearings and rod bolts.
