Side Motor Mount Install

err ... not too sure. the motor mounts i ordered aren't in yet, so i'm unsure as to what they look like.

the 2 mounts on the SIDES of the motor?

Driver side is kinda under/infront of the battery box. Passenger side is very
accessible, but you'll need a press.

alot of people dont know that a side motor mount (on a FWD )is actually front and rear in the engine bay....i want to know which set he has so my advice is accurate. he does say "bump for the noob"

the mounts you describe are in fact THE FRONT (on the timing end of the engine)and THE REAR.... (the transmission end of the engine)

just because i have a low post count does not mean i dont know what i'm talking about....i been on the forum for almost 4 yrs and have worked in auto and HD truck parts for years.......i'm not trying to be a d#%k but .........

how easy is the install? and by that i mean what all does it include?

i did the front before. i know the rear isn't gonna be done by me, but could the sides?

the sides mounts you are speaking of are actually the F&R (see my prev. posts) but any who the are relatively easy. dont forget to support the engine(w/ a piece of wood between the engine and a floor jack to take the weight off the mount you are working on) and only disconnect one mount and re-install it before moving on to the other. the front mount (the one on the passenger side) will benifit if you get tranmission cooler mounting straps (they are used to mount aftermarket oil coolers to a cars radiator and are kind of like a variation of a wire tie.) most parts stores will have it or you can get them from jegs or summit. use the straps through the holes that are in the inserts to hold them in place ........if you did not get inserts......ignore the whole thing about the oil cooler straps
