a member has a PWR intercooler for sale, i'd like to have some feedback on it before having it shipped from california to canada....

i'm aiming 14-15 psi in the near future, so will this intercooler do the job or is it gonna be at the maximum of its capacity at that boost?

also, it doesn't come with piping, so i was wondering if anybody is running this intercooler with a different set of piping just to know what combination works??

you should post the specs as that is really what determines its effeciency. PWR is a good name so long as its the correct size you should be good to go.

dude if youre driving in montreal you prolly wont need to upgrade your radiator ever. Unless you are doing circle races in the mid-west in summertime you dont really need to upgrade your radiator IMO.

stock intercooler heat soaks in montreal weather. during summer, temperature is between 30-40 degrees celcius (86 - 100 farenheit)

i do need to upgrade for a front mount.

dude are you talking about a radiator or intercooler?

PWR makes radiators...not intercoolers....

if you are running 15 psi you will want a front mount intercooler. But as far as i know PWR doesnt make any kind of intercooler....

i know that at 15 psi, i need a front mount, but some won't be good enough for those numbers, that's why i wanted to know if the PWR intercooler is good or not. because i never heard of anybody running with one .

i will when i go ahead with the project. it's a pretty big investment to do it in one shot, so i started with the stock mazdaspeed swap, and i'll eventually ugrade the turbo, manifold, exhaust and have the engine redone like it should have been to take 15 psi

but for know, it's stock msp setup + fmic at 7-8 psi. but i don't want to have to buy a new intercooler in one year, so i'll do it right once

thats fine for 15 psi. at 7.8, as u prolly know youll have to cut the bumper support. 6" is pretty much teh max without it popping out the bottom.

what piping are you using?? because on their site, i don't see any msp specific piping for their intercoolers!

that's not a problem.. it's already cut to make room for the fog lights of the P5 bumper. so i have no problem clearing 2 inches for the fmic

u can have a local shop to bend ur pipes or like most people have been doing lately get a universal kit and make ur own..

PWR makes very high quality products. I've seen the PWR's on a number of evos and a couple of turbo'd integras that i'm familiar with and 0 complaints from anyone who has used them
