I just bought a Mazda5.
And thinking about getting a SEAT COVERS 00008KL05 MSRP $350.

I have read somewhere that it's hard to install, especially on 3rd row seat.
Can anybody tell me how hard is it exactly??

Should I buy it from a dealer and pay $350 or buy it from an on-line store for $280 and install it by my self??

shipping to Hawaii costs a lot of $$$$$, so unless i can find a website has a good shipping rate, difference is $27-28.

any suggestion??

It tool me 2 hours to install so $350 from dealer sounds like a fair deal.

Beware of armrest covers. They come off easily. You might want to modify so they don't slide.

I think the biggest benefit of seat cover is extra cushions.

My wife even claim they have slight sound deadening effect (cushy seat=more comfort=reduced hearing). :-)

Can you explain why it took 2hours???
Which part was the hardest?
Do you need any tool, or any chance of making a mistake and ruin it??
and also how did you modify the armrest covers?

Thank you

It should take about 1 hr for most people. I had (negative) help from my son.

Strapping 3rd row seat was tough due to lack of under space. I end up unbolt the seat assembly.

It took me about an hour to install my seat covers... If you are handy with putting things together... it's no problem.

Takes on average 1hr.....If I could do it myself anyone can...The instructions are pretty good....The only beef I have is that the darn armrest covers never seem to stay put. Apart from them I love them.

do it yourself, unless you hire someone to do basic things around the house.

No tools needed, no need to disassemble things.
