I ordered a supposed Cometic h/gasket from Flatlander, but when it came it was a Wiseco.
I'm still waiting on their response about it, since it's a Wiseco part number in their Cometic catalog.

From Wiseco's catalog:

"These gaskets use a high pressure steel laminate design. They will withstand extremely high shear forces that occur between an aluminum head and iron block. It's internal embossments expand with heat to creeate a better seal when under extremely high combusion pressures and temperatures - as is the case with heavy nitrous and turbo-charged applications."

I know the Cometics use stainless ... I figured if Wiseco did, too ... they'd flaunt it. Also mentions nothing about lamination like Cometic & FelPro.

Tried to find other people's experiences, but couldn't find shit on here or Google.
I've you've dealt with their gaskets, please lemme know.

Hmm, that's weird. Check Cometic's catalog on their website and see if it is the same part #.

On a side note, I'm running Wiesco forged pistons and so are a lot of other peeps on here. I haven't heard any bad reviews.

I already did ... Cometic is C5844-030 for a 84mm bore gasket.

I looked through the Flatlander Cometic catalog, and a lot of their gaskets had Wiseco numbers, and some have Cometic numbers.

Believe me, I'm not happy ... I already have a headgasket, but I wanted a Cometic specifically for my application.
I have a feeling I might be stiffed by Flatlander since their catalog reflects that part number, and I'm putting my engine back together this weekend. I need it running by Thursday to keep on schedule.
They only charged me $69 because of everything else I bought ... I thought I was getting a deal; I got fucked instead.

I also couldn't find any correlation between Wiseco & Cometic.
I also have Wiseco pistons. ;)

Fel-Pro makes a wicked MLS head gasket for the FS-DE too...
