well guys i went to install my sls 2.5 inch catless j/mid pipe tonite....got the ould downpipe off and the new one almost all the way on when i found out it wasnt going to work. i could only get the back nut to go on the downpipe. the stud on the left didnt even have a pinky fingers space between the stud and the pipe. then the right side wouldent go on either... i could proabbly use a smaller nut and get the right side to work but it was almost starting to get dark out.... so anyways after that i call sls and ask them whats going on with there j/mid pipe and the response i get is 2.5 inch piping really wasnt ment to be run on these cars and blah blah blah... i find that funny when the apexr1 3" j/mid pipe fits on my buddies msp no problem. not to mention the 3 inch j pipe back exhausts that are out for the msp. so anyways that brings me to my main question. will i be ok running open s pipe for a lil while. because after we found out that wed have to file the welds back and try some smaller nuts, we just ripped the rest of the exhaust off and im running open s pipe right now. i romped on it a couple times when i was driving it and everythignn seems fine i just would like some reassurance the i will be ok running this for a couple days.. thanks guys and sorry about the long ass post. lol

You should be fine, car is obviously going to be loud as hell, and you're gonna be pissed when you put the exhaust back on and you lose some HP due to it but other than that you should be fine. SLS wasn't really lying, more like bending the truth. Our cars are cramped underneath, I have a 3" custom set up on my MSP and I remember when I was getting it done, the guy who did kept saying that everything is very tight and to expect some initial rattles, rubs and vibrations...
