I should be getting my Unichip in the mail later on this week, and I plan on installing it fairly soon.

Anyone have any advice when installing? Or, for that matter, how about post-install advice? I've read up on some idling issues for a few cars.

I appreciate it.

get a different boost controller. The stock one is shit. It will overboost. Other than that enjoy. Check out JDM Sam and ************* when you get more mods and want to tune your unichip.

Good call.

I've already decided to not even install the included boost controller. It'll be a GReddy Profec-B, just need some time for funds to accumulate.

You'll need a deep 10mm or 12mm socket to remove one or two of the four nuts that holds the ECU plate down. Other than that the install is pretty straightforward.

I picked up the .pdf install guide and read through it.

Nothing seems too bad. It'll be more simple without the boost controller installation.

i did mine by myself in like 30 minutes. i can help ya out/oversee the install if you want -- it's easy. a deep 10mm would make it a lot easier...i didn't have one :( later guy.

remember to disconnect the battery before doing any work. other than that, it's straight forward. took me half an hour to do the install.

Sounds like it's pretty much a breeze (with the right tools).

Any idea from anyone how long the 'learning' time for the Unichip is? Just getting used to daily driving and whatnot.

the first time after i put it on, it was shaky at idle at only like 2-3 stops. I recently reset it cuz i disconnected the battery and it has been shaky now for about 2 days....so im not real sure on that one, i guess it depends?
