Hi folks,

I decided to post the 2008 specs for everyone. Most dealers should have this info by now so it isn't confidential. Keep in mind this is the Canadian spec sheet. Available options should be the same in the US, but they could be packaged differently.

*Disclaimer* This information from Mazda is Copyright and should be available at your local dealer.

Hope these specs answer some questions and help everyone out.

Well, this is the Canadian version but if the changes follow over to the US version...it looks like the premium fuel statement and some movement of package content are the only changes.

Glad I didn't wait.

Thanks so much for posting that. I too am happy I didn't wait. We've all had an extra year to enjoy ourselves with this amazing ride.

looks like the piano black is gone from the center console, it says something about silver finish for a "rear console" and leather treatments to the front and rear doors.

"bright" finish on ext door handles... chrome?
no touring model
no "GT" leather/sport stripe . . .?
Keyless is included with Bose - kinda nice but will most likely drive up the price of the GT while making the Nav option a little more interesting.

Also, i would expect with the dropped touring model that the base model is going up in price and moving it out of the 24k range. . ?

not sure how i feel about dropping the 91 required to recommended. this engine seems way to glitchy to be running on 89 on a consistent basis while also remaining problem free. if no mechanical changes, then the 07's can as well? wonder what that does to the dealers "you put low grade gas in" argument. we shall see.

Keep in mind these are the Canadian specs. The mechanical stuff and features available are the same, but the packages will be different on the US models.

Glad I bought the 2007 model

I have one of the Touring models.

I get most of the luxury features at less cost than the GT but the 2008 it seems my model has been discontinued

I think in Canada they only offered two levels last year too. So I don't see this as indicating one way or another that they'll drop the 3 level structure in the US.

Wait and see I guess.

Mazda has always offered different types of trim levels for the Canadian and American markets... don't pay attention to what the trim levels are called up here or what they contain, it doesn't mean much.

Seems curious that Mazda may not offer an Aux input. I'd bet most customers who would consider this car have an iPod or some other mp3 player.

Most competitors offer this feature, and it costs virtually nothing to add.

Curious indeed! (killit)

Its one of those silly things that Mazda does. You get Aux input and trip computer in a $20k CDN Mazda 3, but not in a $40k CDN CX-7.

It wouldn't stop me from buying the car, but still very silly.

That's metric and also Imperial gallons. Converts to 22 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. Which converts to 18 mpg city and 26 mpg highway in US gallons.

Check out waynemazda.com, they already have their '08's listed. Obviously, on order, but I noticed Brillant Black was listed, which wasn't supposed to be available in '08, at least per the Canadian spec sheet.

That sucks that blue mica now comes standard with a black interior. That tan interior is the one issue I have with mine...
