Are you Canadian? If you're American, the GT already comes with HID. And holy crap, what's the deal with the move from a CTS to a 5?!
Regardless, congrats and enjoy the experience!!! (flash)

Damn, for sure is because the Caddy CTS does not have sliding doors nor 5MT... ROTFL, sorry, I couldn't help it :D.
Seriously, I agree with Jandree, whatever the case is, this deserves for Mazda (or Cadillac?) to give a huge freebie to Kojack (thumb)

Hilarious....CONGARTS! I've never seen it mispelled that way. That's right up there with "You just got pwned" (for you gamers).
The Mazda 5 is definitely trading up! Gas mileage is a huge issue now that gas is $4 in San Francisco. I swear if this were an electric car, I think I'd have a smile on my face all day long.
By the way, go rent "Who Killed The Electric Car?" Then go write your congress-person.

The reason i got rid of the caddy is beause there is zero room in the back for the kids, plus, I was trying to kid myself into thinking GM could make a car. The Cadillac was so shitty inside i thought I was driving a caviler from the 90s. and coming from the VW it was a real step backwards....and yes, if Mazda wants to give me something for trading an inferior vehicle in for a better built one, I will take a set of wheels, and the front and rear lip I want for the ride!
And no its not the gas prices. My other ride is a F150 5.4l and i put 2000kms a week on it. gas is a non issue. he he. and i am in canada so no HIDS for me. but 100 bucks from ebay fixes that

I’m reluctant to talk $hit on GM as my Dad’s been a Chevy service manager for years and years, but you’re right. I drive my mom’s Equinox (vague steering, harsh engine, cheap materials all around) and my mother-in-law’s Trailblazer (MUSHY, land barge suspension), and suddenly when I come back to my 5 it makes it feel like a finely engineered exotic sports car (lol2)
Thankfully my mom’s Equinox lease is up next month, and I talked her into a new Camry SE.

jandree,
as far as im conserned mazda is the best "japanese" compnay going now...making cars with soul. the japanese BMW if you will. I am after owning everything under the sun, honda/acura, subaru, ford, Caddy, vw, dodge, mercedes, jaguar....and really, the mazda line rates with the german cars for refinement etc. Now, the merc is my fav. but the 5 is awsome as it serves my purpose of a family hauler with soul. not a bland, boring minivan.
