Well my kids, wife and I have just completed a 2600+ Mile roundtrip from So. Cal to Vancouver. We decided to take the Mazda 5, lowered on 18's with 225/40's. At first I was very concerned about taking the 5 on such a long trip with 40 series tires. But once we got halfway there my concerns were no more. The 5 was very comfortable throughout the trip, handling was outstanding (as always) and going up the Cali/Oregon/Washington Mountains was very very fun. I am still on stock shocks and cannot wait until I switch to Koni FSD's. The Gas mileage was decent 25.9 MPG with AC on and 80+ MPH. Overall it was a very good trip and have now made up my mind that this car is a keeper.

What springs did you use on the '5'? I lowered mine using a set of H&R springs and have to get the rear camber plates installed...scheduled for tomorrow. Did you get this installed on your car? Post some pics of your ride.

LOL. A little bit off topic but I have vigorously resisted to call the MZ5 minivan, microvan, mini-minivan or similar but, as the Borg would say in the Star Trek series: "Resistance is futile..." sometimes :D...
Mazda non-aware people plus those sliding doors are not helping the cause of my resistance :(. Now, regardless, how awesome the doors are otherwise!
