looks like the speed6 guys are getting left out again...

only a 10whp gain....hmmm would have expected more.

we had an FMIC for the mazdaspeed6 and scrapped it. we may choose to revisit that car again however.

from just a FMIC on stock boost 10whp is pretty good as industry standard goes. FMICs show more gains when you run more boost. honestly upgraded TMICs and SMICs show better gains on stock or lower boost because you are showing less turbo among other reasons. this is why most Subaru owners see power drops going straight to FMIC kits as thier first or one of thier first modifications. same thing with FD or Supra owners - upgraded side mounts are often better than going FMIC. the TMIC design is efficient until you start aiming for serious numbers. bigger and front mounted is not always better.

i think gains will be exponentially better on this kit with something like the upgraded turbo, downpipe, exhaust than it will be on a TMIC.

Damn that looks so nice! I'm still caught on either sticking with the TMIC to retain the sleeper look or FMIC just cause it looks so intimidating. Oh well can't afford it anyways for the time being :(

I'll probably go with the FMIC here in a couple months when I get to go on leave, I'll let you guys know how it is. :)

Hope Cpt Ken doesn't get pissed for me showing these pics ;>
This is the system before powdercoating, comes in Silver and gloss black as far as I know. I'll edit this post when the final pics are released. <3 Cpt Ken.

Looks great nice option for you speed3 guys...

May I ask what happened as to what you scrapped the MS6 design?

We do not have many viable FMIC options Ken we need a good FMIC.

if you check the item on the site, the pic of it in the upper right that you can enlarge shows it behind the grille

Everytime I see one of these threads for new products coming out for the 3's and the 6's, I think, wow, my MP3 is really getting old. BEGI does it again with another quality product. Quality over quantity as always.

Well, that BEGI Protege turbo kit was engineered for about 250 HP. I outgrew it. :D

sorry, didn't see the post up there, my fault.

we scrapped the FMIC design we had because in extreme cold weather the car would hit fuel cut hard at 4000 rpm. we were working to redesign the kit with the company in charge of fabricating it but they were pretty inflexible about doing so and felt that it was not a priority for them so i dumped them and did not pick up another company to make it. the TMIC sold so well that the idea went by the wayside.

we have an account with Corksport now and they have a kit in the works which we think many people will like alot.
