Newbie here.
There is a grinding sensation that I can feel through my steering wheel and accelerator peddle when I'm driving. There is very little noise associated with this problem. I cannot feel it a low speeds or while I'm breaking.
It's really noticeable at between 20-45mph.
Axel problems? Wheel bearing? Any other ideas?
It's a 2001 Mazda Protege LX 2.0 with 86k miles on it.

Doubt its your wheel bearing, i had this changed on my LX 2.0 a few months back and the sound was a loud thump, thump, thump under the floor board.
However i don't remember feeling grinding sensation that through my steering wheel and accelerator peddle when I was driving?

Yeah, mine feels like it's from right under my feet as well. Have you tried anything that has worked?
I thought it was just rust on the brakes but this does not seem to be the source either.

If your's is under your feet and its a thump thump thump its def your bearing. I took it to a local shop and they replaced it for about $100. If u go to the "Stealership" they will try and sell u the entire hub, just get the bearing replaced. They shuold be able to replace it by pressing it out and putting a new one in its place. I think the quote from then stealership and a few other places was close to $300? There's an old thread i started on it when i 1st had the problem.
