I don't think that Protege is from the US or Canada. I seen a 99/00 Protege with that style of front lip when my wife and I were in Thailand last year.

i do like your lip but i don't think the lip up there is half bad....i think it can look better...i personally think that the type R lip would of looked better if it was lower and didn't hook onto the middle of the bumper.

the type r lip isnt too bad...this is the first time i've seen it on the protege, but im still planning on one of njaremka's front lips when i get the extra money
