I know Mazda P5 OEM gap is .044", but I'm running a non turbo w/ a Injen CAI.
B/c I'm not turbo will there be any issue opening the gap up a little bit..?
Any suggestions on gap width for a Non Turbo w/ CAI...

I have a cai, a header, a catback and I see no reason to open up my plugs anymore. What excatly do you want to achieve in doing this?

Subscribe. I replaced the plugs and wires on my friends car and going to replace the distributor as soon as I get it in my hands. Electronics like that you have to be careful with to have the right resistances and what not. I wouldn't recommend changing the specifications.
.044" is a sizeable gap to begin with. Although our coils are pretty strong, I don't think you'll get much out of opening them up further.
Personally, I avoid altering the gap on iridium plugs. They are pre-gapped from the factory. The center electrode is extremely fragile. The tip will easily break off while attempting to gap them. Each time you break one, that's a $6 mistake.
If you are at the point in your tuning abilities that you can tweak more power with gapping and indexing, stick with copper plugs.

I'd gap them back to the store and buy regular plugs...

Do not re-gap iridium plugs.

Gapping Irridium Plugs is not recomended by NGK..
It alters the cathode.

I guess it is settled. No gapping needed.
