So the other day i decided to order the AutoExe front bumper. I bought it from Corksport. Derrick from there was very helpful to me with different questions about the sizing, fitment, etc...

Basically the bumper is not lower than the stock bumper, it is all predrilled and ready to scuff and shoot "paint", it uses the factory crash bar, and it is 30mm "lil over an inch" longer than the stock bumper. The fitment is suppose to be perfect, and I am suppose to recieve it the second week of June. Ill probably rip my car apart and premount it for fun. Ill be sure to post some pics as soon as I get it, should look sweet!

I think it looks great. It'll definitely be unique, and you won't have that 'moustache' over the grill.

It actually looks very similar in design to this:

That'll be sweet, I love that bumper. Just make sure if you're gonna use Mesh to fill the openings/vents, you use BLACK Mesh and not silver so it doesn't look all ricey.

Yeh I wondered about it posting too many times, Im not sure if anyone else had problems, but I kept getting a screen saving the forums server was too busy, Everything was freezing, I couldnt even get back on to check to see what happend.

"quote"

I like how it looks similar to the stock bumper, but next to eachother it will completely stand out, I just wanted to basically debadge the grill and give it a little more aggressive look, which I think this does perfectly.

"quote"

It does kinda look like the Sky bumper, lol, I love how the sky looks. I was also thinking about getting a Sky Redline vs my MS3, see what I picked. I like the fact that it will rid the mustache, even though I dont mind it, but the Emblem debadge is my favorite touch.

"quote"

Also as for screening. Ill see how some black looks, Im not into cheezy looks like having chrome handles, blingin mesh, chrome fogs, and other sorts, everyone has different taste and thats fine, however thats not my cup of tea. I might not put anything, but I do think it will compliment the fmic setup Im going to peice together next week, the openings in the Oem bumper are somewhat lame for an intercooler due to the "stache" and the license plate, Im going to make a braket for the plate so it attaches underneath the bumper and then up in the one corner, "jdm style" and make it so I can take it on and off easily for pics, meets, etc... because I dont want to mark up the bumper, but I have to stay legal. I would have done that with the stock bumper too but then it would block the foglight, which would be dumb. Should be nice!

Ill be sure to keep everyone posted with everything, it wont be until the second week of June though untill I am suppose to get it, SHould be Sweet though!

The stock intercooler is on top of the valve cover like a subaru. Its probably 12x15x2 not exact though just a guess.

and the fmic is still in the process, Ive got a few things, Im about half way there. I changed my mind with what core Im going to get, the new one is going to cost more, its going to be a custom build from Ets, it will be black and have ETS stenciled on it, not too cheap though, but they seem to make a nice core....

Ill be sure to post pictures for all, by the time I get the bumper Ill have my new rims and it will be lowered a 1in on tein Htechs and Koni yellow shocks. The count down continues! Approx 2 weeks left!(wiggle)

1 inch? You should do the MS Springs which only gives you .5 inch. It's perfect, if you ask me.

I was planning on getting the ms springs, but then figuring it only drops .6 inches it really dosent seem worth it, Theres a good amount of room left between the wheels and fenders so I think the 1in will be perfect for my taste.... Some people on here havent went 2.5ish, now thats low...

I cant wait to get the bumper, Im hoping sometime next week! But we'll see... The bumper wasnt cheap, ran me $875 shipped... oh well its only money Ive worked my a$$ off for :) I think it will really set my car apart from the stock look, not too much like a spaceship though, lol. I havent seen that hood for sale though

The real reason for the MS springs is how much stiffer it makes the ride which I think is more important than how much lower it looks. If you are just going for looks then go with something else.

Im getting them for both reasons, the springs for me are mainly for looks. The koni yellow shocks Im getting will add stiffness on top of everything too, and they are also adjustable. The Ms springs are an over priced Oem upgraded part imo, like much of the rest of their line up...

That is what sucks about limited production cars. Parts aren't made in the volume you would find if looking for most other car parts. It seems like only 5 CPE turbobacks were ever made...been waiting for mine since April :(

I guess though Im not even going by anything I hear about my order, Im just going to get it when I get it, Ive been updated pretty good from Corksport but now Im just feeling it will arrive when it wants to. My guess is I should have it by the end of next week, but maybe sooner. In the meantime I dont even have my car to mount it to.......(boom02)

Got the bumper today!!! Looking through the plastic bag its in it looks very nice, I didnt open it up though, its primed black. THE MAJOR COMPLAINT I have is it has a Front license plate area molded right smack in the middle of the front bumper, it sticks out about an inch. Im debating on even putting it on though to look at the fitment, I might just sell it. I got my car back today and it was leaking tranny fluid and other parts were not fixed so Im really up in the air with my car right now. I know for certain Im not going to be owning it in another couple months, so my main question is if Im going to get another speed3 or not, I really love the car, but I have honestly had nothing but problems with it.

I will post some pics of the bumper tomorrow, I just threw it in the garage for tonite. If anyone is thinking of buying one let me know. I will not be excepting full price on this, it took 2 months for me to get it so the $890 shipped is cheap compared to the time I had to wait. Dont get me wrong I dont want anything crazy like 2000 lol. It looks pretty sweet though Ill put the pics on tomorrow

Well that's cool that you finally got it, but that's really lame about the front plate mount. Why would they do that? Why not just offer a piece you could bolt on if a front plate is required?

In my state (Alabama) a front plate isnt even required, and anybody building a show car wouldnt want that mount on the front. So that sucks.

Interested to see pics, and sorry to hear your car is still borked.

I was bored yesterday so I put my bumper on for fun to see h0w it looks and fit. Basically the bumper fits near perfect, all the body lines match up well and the finish is pretty good. There are about 3-4 spots that will need to be touched up though because of slight waves in the finish. The bumper fits nice and snug around the lights, fender lines, and foglights. I did have to take out the foam peice that goes ontop of the bumper reinforcement to allow it to fit. Im pretty happy with how it looks heres some pics!!!

Wow, that actually looks really, really nice. Great design on that bumper, looks like it could have been a factory option...not some ricey aftermarket monstrosity. Only annoyance is that front plate mount. I cant believe they molded that in instead of leaving it seperate for you to drill and mount yourself if you choose.

I hope you get it painted, or sell it to someone who'll make us all proud.

I really do love the way that bumper looks, as everyone else, with the exception of the license place holder protruding. You'd think two small flush mounting holes for a *gasp* flush mounting bracket (like the one that came with your car) wouldn't be too difficult.

I do kind of miss the flying wing. I don't suppose its built in a such a way that could could keep the wing mounted in the top vent?

But even if it is black (mica) then you'll still have an offset of colors between a solid black to a black with specs in the sunlight.

That would look real bad ass with a FMIC to match it though hehe

Lol god Im not saying I would keep it as is if I had a black car. Im saying I dont want to get it painted cosmic blue and then get a black mica and have to get it painted again....

As for the front mount, I was peicing one together, I have all the pipes, silicone, t bolt clamps... I was planning on buying the core from Ets on a monday (june 25th) but my motor dropped on the 24th so that really changed my mind on that. I agree though that would look really bad ass!!! I havent felt any difference.... NONE lol, no really though I havent noticed anything except how paranoid I am driving up and down into parking lots.

For everyone else, If I keep the bumper I might shave the front plate mount, Im very handy with fiberglassing so it really wouldnt be too big of a problem, just more time than anything. It is an expensive bumper though so I might just keep it As Is for values sake...
