thanks for the idea. I was thinking about this for a while because I saw someone on this forum do the same with a mazda 5. I never knew where to get the pinstriping until your thread and I saw how good yours looked and had to do it.

You guys are funny... nowhere im my post did I mention "VW". And if "some" of you knew anything about the new VW's, their red stripe is on the upper grill. I did this on the lower part to not be like a VW and to accent my Jtuned Decal and Red Calipers that I just painted.

i dont think ti represents vw at all...its a pinstripe and it looks good...i saw one picture of black ms3 that had way more pin striping that looked a bit like a vw..this is jsut right and subtle

i agree with the previous post. i think it looks really good. just the right amount and doesn't make it look at all like a gti. good job! by the way, where did you get the pinstriping from? it looks like piping from a marshall amp or something, but red.

First of all, you should learn to read before you bash. We're not a bunch of haters...look around...most highly respect the power the MS 3 has.

2nd, overpriced? When your car has as many features as ours, then you can say its overpriced. Yes its more expensive but just remember, you get what you pay for. If I wanted a basic speed deamon, I'd have gotten a 3...but turns out I like the little things the GTI had to offer over the 3, hence my choice. Doesn't make one car better than the other, they are both designed for different drivers.

Pulls like a scion XB? Have you even driven a GTI?

When you actually come up with something original for your car, I'll give you credit, till then, making your car look like a GTI then BASHING the GTI is just ghey.

Most dealers won't admit it's a problem and won't even check it. So I don't see a recall happening any time soon. I'm just gonna keep drivin' it like I stole it. If it falls out at high speed and I die, at least my husband will get a little money out of the deal, and maybe some peace and quiet:)

this is a single year production.....by anything and everythign is the same on any ms3 already built or being built..which im sure they are all built by now....only 5k for us right?

I have never driven a GTI but I like the way it looks except for the plad seats. I do think the options are way overpriced, but thats vw. I may have ended up with one if I didn't have such a bad experience with my 01 1.8t jetta and if the ms3 wasn't my dream car.

That's one of the best things about the GTI, it comes with a lot of kewl features stock. DSG is only 1k more but I agree package 2 for the leather seats, sunroof, and satellite gets expensive. I opted for the plaid, package 1 (sunroof sat) and DSG. Couldn't be happier.

I would love to drive the 3, I hear its an absolute animal...maybe I go take a test drive soon :)

Well, i think it looks aight, a little off but....

I actually wanted the GTi, 4 door variant..

i have a 5 year old rugrat that i want to be able to get in and out of the car unlike my 2 door focus. He does it just fine in the wifey's 3. The dealership i wanted to get it from said, "Well, I was going through my inventory, and we JUST sold the last black 4 door model you were interested in, we have a couple of black 2 doors available. When would you like to come in and take a look?" I responded, sir; i already told you that i needed a 4 door vehicle instead of the 2. You obviously weren't listening, so I'll just look else-where for another vehicle.

I dig the GTi, the black with the red pin stripped grill looks sweet. On the MS3, its aight... looks kinda off though. oh well, to each his own. it's what makes each car unique to the owner... express yo-self foo! lol

I just traded my GTI in for my MazdaSpeed3. Both are great cars. The MS3 is more fun (for me) to drive, but the GTI was more, um, refined. Put another 60 hp in the GTI and I might go back in a couple of years.

It was fuzzy. Seriously, instead of painted black it was covered in black...felt?...Astroturf?.....Something, damned car was fuzzy, but not fictional.

Besides, I'm pretty sure the person that posted the Batmobile was joking. :D
