MS3 or VWGTI which is it?

Hey I got this Idea from another forum and wanted to see what you guys thought. I think it might be too much and may remove the pin striping from the upper grill and just keep the one stripe on the bottom.

I don't really care for it. I wouldn't highlight that area, mainly because I think it's the only non-attractive part of the whole vehicle. It looks like a moustache to me.
But it is your vehicle and if you like it then so be it.

Its not very noticable but I like the contrast with the black.

The front part i dunno, I kinda liked it better with the upper grille too, I think the whole thing that sticks out is the fact you don't have any red pin-striping down the sides and the rear.... the sides would probably look nice... JDM style yo! lol

But it's your car, and that's up to you.... I like the mazdaspeed sticker.... would you mind PMing me a link as to where you got yours so I could get one for the back window? Thanks.

I got two of them with my ms cai, the other sticker is on the other side of the car. As for having both grills outlined, it was just too much. I like the way it looks on the GTI and think it looks decent on the ms3.

btw I noticed you have the "coming" COBB accessport.... any idea when that's going to be released for the speed3/6 ? I'd love to get it for my car to piggy back the ecu... splicing harnesses = voided warranty.

The accessport should be released by the end of the summer and its not a piggyback, its a reflash for the ecu.

what did you use for the pin striping? was it a kit or just tape?

Its pinstriping tape and can be found in the paint section at pepboys for 4.99
Its easy to put on you just have to be patient on the curvey parts.

Is it? (sorry to go off topic) I thought it was a piggy back unit... will I still be able to reflash the ECU back to stock if I need to?

You can reflash back to stock, but some say the dealer would be able to tell the ecu was reflashed if they looked really hard. The new version of the accessport actually makes a carbon copy of your stock map, so any updates mazda has made will still be on the car when you flash it back to stock. Cobb has already cracked the ecu and is tuning as we speak. I would post a link to their forums but its not allowed, do a search on google for more info.

Thanks man, yeah because of the checksums, newer cars with checksums data in the ecu records when the car was flashed, each time it's flashed.... so if the dealer looked for it they would see you flashed the ECU at one time, and thus voided your warranty.... of course you could argue that they performed the ECU flash recall, at least for the MS6s
