Does anyone have a MAZDASPEED cold air intake on their Mazda 6 or Mazda 3? I am just wondering if I should go with a non-Mazda version(AKA:AEM,INJEN,K&N).
I am also interested in the CPE offering.
I hear so many horror stories in regard to the CEL(Check Engine Light) coming on with the AEM's and Injen's. I was thinking that the MAZDASPEED and the CPE would eliminate the CEL concern.
Anybody?

Although I've never compared the 2, my understanding is that the MazdaSpeed version is just a rebadged AEM. I've had the AEM on for a couple of weeks with no CEL. In fact, I hooked up my wideband AFR to the car and it was around 10-10.5 most of the time at WOT ... no worries about getting a "too lean" CEL there as that's still quite rich. It's a noticeable gain once the turbo spools too - a nice mod!
Edit - just saw that you don't have a MazdaSpeed 6 so ignore those comments - will leave them in for those that do.

I've had the CPE for 8 months with NO CEL ever. Works perfectly!

I think you will find that they are all basically the same. I do have the mazdaspeed CAI. It works well, but I don't think any better then the others. It is in fact made by AEM.
