Found out today from Wayne Mazda in New Jersey that they will be hosting the annual gathering BBQ in July (drinks) - date to be determined. As soon as I get more info I'll post it here. If anyone finds out b4 I do, feel free to update this thread.

After the crap they pulled last year with the Chrysler at the last minute, awarding it 3rd plave after showing up with 10 minutes of voting left, I'm having serious doubts about showing up.

They should have different classes events for each Mazda model, kinda sad to see a MAzda taken out of 3rd place at the last minute.

The voting is decided by the employees of Wayne, not by the car owners that show up. They're all about the "bling" factor, not performance or the overall balance or look of the cars.

With that being said, hopefully you have a lot of chrome, monitors, PS3's X box's etc!

Yea I have chrome lip on the new wheels that I just ordered yesterday...hope to win....NOT.

yea I just hope that a MAZDAs will take awards....considering the fact that employees of Wayne Mazda can care less what make of a car wins the tropheys, they have rocks for brains!!! COMPLETE horse shit! If they will pull same shit like last year, I will bash them at the meet loud and proud and will never suggest them to anyone.

I am actually in the process of moving... I was up in the Wayne area... but ironically I am looking to move closer to WoodBridge, Rahway, or over the bridge area... Just looking for another apartment at this point... and of course some place to keep the car!!! or at least a nice enough area with "Off-Street" Parking.....

So stay in touch! once I get settled I will definitely be out there! thanks for the heads up!

I just got word today from Wayne Mazda that the August 5th BBQ has been postponed and is pending reschedule.

They assure me that it will happen just not August 5th. At this time the date is to be announced and as soon as I get word I will let everyone know. Please spread the word!

To be honest, I really don't give a damn about Wayne Mazda anymore.

I'm not a "show" guy, but even I know something is wrong when a Chrysler beats out a Mazda at a freakin' MAZDA dealership car show like last year.

So yeah, I don't care anymore and have better things to do and spend my fuel on.

Agreed, the way they screwed over some Mazda owner who came out and particpated in the show, was BS. To let a Chrysler show up with 10 minutes left and allow it to take a Mazda out, is wrong.

So with that being said, my cars will never see the Wayne parking lot ever again. Hopefully, you Mazda owners who attend, will speak up and make enough noise to change the way they do their judging.

It should be the best of each model, 6, Protege, 3, RX's, etc. and then do the best of show. I guarantee they'll screw somebody over again. Also, it should be the car owners that vote, not employees of the dealership!

i can't say i disagree, but in all regards i went last year to be part of the crowd, eat some free food, and meet some new mazda owners - because thats what it is about - the car show aspect is secondary. i know everyone is going to have a different reason for going or a different expectation - believe me i don't like seeing non-mazda's winning at a mazda show but it really doesn't bother me that much, I'm just glad that they had it and i was able to participate in the festivities.

Got the word form ddayisnear, who just got his car out of the shop there. It will not be this weekend and has been postponed until further notice. He will have details soon, but it looks like it will happen sometime in the fall.

They don't really look at the mazdas around here, but if you have a nice car it don't matter what you drive. Just know where to park and keep an eye on it.
