if you are upgrading to larger wheels with a low profile tire i dont think you will have a problem

guys, ive seen many tokico+pro kit setup and i always been able to put 2 fingers between the tire and the fender in the back...
i had 40 offsets 17 inches last year and im getting the same setup this year (other rims, 40 offset again, on 205/40/17)
i tried this setup last year on my friend who has the same exact setup that i have right now, but on his pro the rear is .75inch higher, and it was OK, but now its will NOT FIT even if i have the same setup, just because there is something weird about my drop..?
and i want to figure out what could have happened?

looks good to me. it does seem a tad bit too low in the rear. idk what could have happened. maybe bumpstops, if you cut them. who knows.
jack it up and double check everything to make sure its all on there correctly

Looks like a perfect drop IMO, whats the problem? What wont fit? Your 205/40/17's? Thats the same exact tire im running and when I have 3 people in my back seat the tire fits nicely up in the well and has about 1cm between the sidewall and the fender, doesnt rub at all. I honestly dont see what the problem is here? Just because your tokico/prokit combo isnt exactly the same as your buddies doesnt mean theres anything wrong with yours or his sets.

my wheels have 40 offset.it wasnt rubbing on my friends protege which had the same exact suspension setup i have now... .but i was actually able to put 2 fingers between the tire and the fender when there was nothing in the car... while i cant.. therefore i will probably rub when there will be 1 person in the back..
i have the same gap without anything in the car that he has when theres 1 or 2 person in his car...

It wont rub... it dont matter how high or how low it sits, the another half an inch his is higher dont mean shit when you hit a bump in the road, and as I said, I had 3 big people in my back seat with even part of the rim up in the wheel well. Its not gonna rub, and if for some wierd ass reason it does...roll the fenders.

When i first lowered my car (02 pro5), i had the same exact problem... It was an eye soar to see that my car isn't evenly dropped... Then again, i went the stupid and ghetto way, i went through ebay... shouldn't have went that way... All i got from ebay tho, was just cheapo coilovers (drop zone) it really sucked and super bouncy, after a while, i was pretty sure that my struts were blown.. so then i upgraded to tokico illuminas (the whole set) w/ the springs... i love it now, not so bouncy and an even drop.. I have no clue what went wrong with yours tho, that's a really good setup, but the uneven drop i can't expain.. sorry, im sure this didnt help, but i wanted to share with you that i had the same problem before.. my advice is to take it to a performance shop and ask them for some advice as what could've happend??
Peace,
RJ

My sig picture is my P5 with the same suspension setup and 18X7.5 5Zigen wheels. I didn't have any troubles...maybe the P5 and sedan are different.

is the problem it being uneven, or not the same as your friends?

maybe you have sportline rear springs and and prokit front. idk how but maybe
pass the peas

Question- Did you buy brand knew HPs?
Cutting bump stops won't affect the drop, it will affect the amount of suspension travel and how much the wheel will go into the wheel well when the suspension is at the end of it's travel.
Word around the campfire is using p5 strut mounts on the sedan will raise the rear end a bit. P5 mounts are also reported to be heavier-duty.

after a lot of thinking and all, i think my friend's drop is fucked up. while mine is normal...
i will sell those and buy tein S tech, which drop 1.4 in the rear instead of 1.8..
that will fix my problem.

well your main problem is you cant and shouldn't run a offset before 42 i think for a sedan, and even so thats pushing it

Roll the fenders .The drop isn't the issue here. I bet that when you go over speedbumps you'll still rub at 1.4" because you're running a low offset

Maybe his springs are in the caps wrong.
You dont need new springs man, if they rub just roll the fenders, it so much easier than all that other stuff. Besides, IT WONT RUB ANYWAYS.

Maybe you got the P5 kit. It sits lower i nthe back. Also, depending on what struts used, the lower perches are different heights.
