Hey guys, this is my first post here. I've been doing some research on here and it sounds like there's loads of issues with clunks in the Proteges.
I just had some work done yesterday and my car has now developed a new clunk in the front end.
I had sway bar link kits put on both sides in the front as they were shot. I also had a left front strut replaced and a lower control arm bushing replaced on the same side. (Should there be a lubricant or grease in there anywhere? I watched the control arm bushing going in and there was none used.)
Driving in to work this am I can hear this awful sounding clunk every time I shift up (manual) and give it a bit of gas. What the hell?
Could this just be an issue of a nut coming loose on the new work or potentially something more serious.
Any ideas out there?
Thanks a lot guys.

i would take it back to where the work was done, and replecate the clunk for them. make sure you tell them it wasn't there before the work, and you want it resolved.

motor mounts is my guess to, just when your motor gets torque from the gas it shifts maybe??

Thanks for the info guys. I took it back in and it turned out to need 1/2 turn on the bolt extending through the control arm bushing.
