Howdy all,
My 2001 Mazda Protege ES 2.0 started hesitating and slipping while going down the road this evening. It is at 121,000 miles and never had a fuel pump/filter replacement, so I'm thinking that this is what it may be. I have noticed that it just does it while I am lightly giving it gas, not while idling or gassing hard, so it must be the pump/filter. It is acting just like my old 1991 Protege used to whenever it needed a fuel filter replaced, as we all know this one isn't so easy to do. Just wanted to confirm my suspiciouns and find out what you guys would recommend for a replacement. Also possibly any how to's or advice on changing it.
