i took the miata out for the first time since she's been kinda considered done a few weeks ago. sheared 2 studs holding the turbo to the exhaust manifold by the time i got home. also that power steering belt that was pointed out to me as pretty close to that coolant bypass line dealie is now half there. although my brother isn't sure that's why it's only half there... although it seems likely to me! the brakes didn't feel that hot on track and looking at them now, there's barely any pad and the slots in the rotors are heavily deposited with crunk. so hopefully new pads will make the car feel as good as the sti.

i did the miata for 3 sessions and had a buddy drive down my sti and used it for the 4th. i knew right away that i was faster in the sti. i felt more confident and comfortable with the brakes and awd is just easier to drive faster, i was a lot bolder in the corners than with the miata. i was getting better with it though. in my best lap here (in vid) the nuts on the studs are loose and there's an exhuast gas leak already starting.
