Took a long day trip this last weekend from Oakland up to Mt. Hamilton and the Lick Observatory. We then took the backroads up to Livermore and then back to Oakland.

About 150 miles roundtrip. The road up to the top of Mount Hamilton goes up to about 4,000 feet in 20 miles. Very windy road. We went up with 4 adults and 1 baby.

Car handled great. Did its job well.

Here are some pics of the trip.

I want this road :(

Since I am still in breakin and I had a car load of people I couldn't really "drive" the road. However, it was fun to get to the top and the only other people up there were a pack of motorcycles and a Lotus Elise.

You know it is a fun road when you see those type of vehicles on it.

By the way, nice pics, and congrats on your new 5.

Keep an eye out for Subies too. A lot of the Subie guys here go up Mt. Hammy every week. ;)

Yo, I've grown up in the Bay Area and I've never drove up there. But now that I see those pics, I am putting it on the list on road trips. Your pics are great. I actually feel like I was with you, but without the car sickness [sitting in the 3rd row on windy roads can be rough].

Yiassas! What's with the halfgreek? My wife is all greek and our babies are half-greek.
