Thoughout the rest of the week i got in contact with Ken. He explained to me to bring the car to the shop on sunday or as soon as possible.
4/1/2007 Met up with Ken around 3:00pm took a test drive with me and determined that the exhaust manifold was shot as well as the leaking wastegate, Advised both would need to be replaced.
4/2/2007 Ken sent me a message that the car is apart and that he found a Manifold and explained that he thought a Internal wastegate would better suit my T3 Super 60.
4/5/2007-4/7/2007 Ken states the car will not be ready Ken took the time and sent me a detailed message why the internal wastegate did not work and that he was working as hard as he possibly could to swap for a Tial 38mm wastegate. due to the fact it was easter weekend and Ken could have easily waited until monday to explain the problem. he knew i was anxious and decided to easy my worries instead of making me wait.
4/13/2007 I took, or had a half day from work and decided to see the work Protege Garage was doing to my car. Ken greeted me and promptly showed me what was going on and had again explained to me that my dumptube from the wastegate to the downpipe was in the way of my A/C fan. He kindly explained that he has/had no choice but to remove and replace it with a slimline fan.
He appologized for the time it took. Ken explained that he would rather he keep my car and do the job 110% rather then send me on my way just to have more problems.
Little did Ken know i was more impressed with the time he took to explain the problem and show me rather then stating "Car's down nothing i can do about it" Ken even bought me lunch because I had nothing to eat all day "damn metra's"
Throughout the rest of the week we spoke about the progress of the car and how things were turning out, Ken assured me the car would be finished Wedensday.
4/18/2007 Called Ken around 3:00pm told me car is ready, I asked him if he checked the A/F ratio's he states they were at 11:1 a little rich but looking good, He also explained that the mechanic who welded my dumptube sprayed it with a high temp coat, however it was not sticking, and volunteered to get some exhaust wrap next time i was up. Ken explained that the car was great and quiet and was still boosting at 4 PSI.
I was stoked, I took off an hour early, and shot my way on up to Protege Garage. I got to the shop around 5:45pm. And there she was I was so excited to see my car and the condition it was in.
Ken came right out greeted me and we promptly got down to business, He popped the hood explained in detail what he had his mechanic's do, Ken also stated he was not able to get the exhaust wrap in time and suggested i come back another time to get it installed free of charge, because the Temp paint was not holding, and he did not want it to look tacky.
Went inside he processed my payment, while he was doing that took the keys and went to start her up, she sounded AMAZING! here is the before and after shot of my engine bay.

Everything so far has been perfect. There are a few minor issues that Ken offered to address free of charge. Ken is a honest man he and his shop stand behind their work 110% Even with the minor issues I was having Ken even bought me brand new exhaust hangers and i quote "as a gesture of my good faith"
Ken has been patient and he is a wonderful person to do business with, And I will keep doing business with him, He will always have me as a customer!
Protege Garage is #1 in my book! Thanks Ken for the outstanding work and see you in a week or two!
