Was Having A Problem With Power Loss At Speeds Above 40mph.
Mechanic Put In A New Mass Air Flow Unit And Baby Runs Great Exect At Idle. Here's What Happens: Will Idle At 850rpm For 20 Seconds Then
Drop Down To About 650 And Stay There. If I Race Engine Idle Goes Back To 850 And Again 20 Seconds Later Rmp Drops. I Installed A New
Throttle Position Sensor And The Problem Did Not Go Away.
Here's The Rub, I Disconnected A Rubber Hose That Draws Air To The Right Hand Side Of The Valve Cover From The Plastic Manifold That Brings Air To The Carb And The Problem Went Away. What This Did Is Allow More Air Into The Intake Manifold Thru The Pcv Valve.
I Checked The Idle Air Solenoid By Checking Resistance Which Was Ok
And Also With Ignition On Plugged And Unplugged The Connector To See If I Could Hear Solenoid Click. I Could Hear The Click.
Anybody Out There Who Could Help Would Really Be Appreciated.
