Quiet mufflers

What's a muffler that sounds fairly similar to the stock muffler that'll fit with 2.5 in? Another question, what is the diameter going into the stock muffler, and how restrictive is it? Can I just get away with leaving it on?

If you want it to sound similar to stock but want a little more power remove one of the cats. There is two cats on the mid pipe, a lot of people are running just one stock cat or just a high flow cat and it's pretty quiet and gains a little hp.

Looking for the same answer. Mazda Canada doesn't have it any more. The Mazdaspeed protege exhaust part # is the same for a regular protege which is lame and loud. Not the same as the original.
