Just a heads up :

I ordered and recieved the manuals. Nice fast service. However I am disappointed since the Service manual comes unbound? They don't even give you a binder to put it in? You just get a pile of pages. Seems for $140 they could do a bit better job. Least they punched holes in them for you. I was expecting it to be bound like the Factory Service Manual I purchased for my Dodge truck 7 years ago. Off to the store to look for a suitable binder.

Would love to but I don't own a scanner. If someone has a specific question I can take a digital picture of the page I guess?

Hi KatDiesel

If you could let me know if the manuals show/explain how to make adjustments to the doors (e.g. to tighten them up so they are snug against the seals) and to the sunroof that'd be good to know for me as I would then order a set.

I get a high-pitched whistling noise when driving over 70km/h (I think that's over 40mph) and it is infuriating. I'm a noise freak to begin with, but even my wife finds it very annoying.

I'm hoping maybe a door needs some adjusting or the moonroof.

The whistling seems to be coming from the front windshield (when I'm sitting in the passenger side) but when in the drivers seat it seems more to be coming from outside the driver's side door.

Anyways, I digress... if the manuals show how to make such adjustments could you let me know? Thank you!

I'm putting a posting about this wind noise in another forum here so I apologize if anyone gets worked up about it being a cross-posting :(

Hi KD,

Can you post the wiring diagram relating to headlight switches and foglights. My goal is to have the foglights come on with the DRL or have manual control over the foglights. Others have done so with other Mazda models.

Thanks,
GL_1970

Send me an email address....don't feel like resizing etc. Plus I don't know if you have DRL or not so I took pics of with and without.

Bought this off Ebay for $25 ($8 shipping). This will work for most everybody. Honestly would be happy if I had just bought this first.

Hi KatDiesel

The lower tube you refer to is to damping any resonate air pulses that could upset the MAF unit. In addition; it helps quite the intake as a second benefit.

KatDiesel: Would you describe what the shown manual is used for? Is it an abbreviated shop manual? Is it a homeowners manual on how to change oil and do minor maintenance? Would appreciate your comment. $140 seems excessive for the full blown shop manual when I paid ~ $70 for a Chystler shop manual. Ed

thanks, does any body think that removing this tube would help performance, without damage to my MAP

all it does is explain specific model details such as "useless" engine specs, gear ratios, unique characteristics of the suspension, drivetrain, interior, stereo, etc.... it's a model guide basically... 99% useless to working on a car

Ops. Sorry THEMAN AS I THOUGHT YOU PUT UP THE PHOTO.

MARIUSZ. Removeing the anti-resonance tube will probably increase the intake noise but, expect no performance increase. The factory did put it there for a reason and one reason was to protect the MAF.
