fuel cut off problem at boost (stock form)

Have problems with my msp. I have 55k on it and its stock. I dont have a boost gauge on it at this point. Here is my problem.. Im constantly feel like my car is getting overboosted, I believe at 4000-4500 if I am in it hard..Im constantly getting the fuel cut off and slamming in the wall feeling. Can this be a wastegate problem or do I have to look elsewhere. possibly getting a manual boost controller and turn it down. any suggestions will be appreciated.

i would lean to say wastegate...try adjusting/replacing

Blow through the vacuum line going to the WGA. If it holds air that's not your problem. If you can blow through it then replace the WGA as your spiking well over 15psi. And since you have no boost gauge there's now other way to be sure.
