Alright, so i finally took the emblems off the 3 and painted 'em gloss black. I took the 2.3 and the 3 off completely and just left the two flying M's and the Mazda logo. Next is to take off the blinkers and get smoked ones. Not to mention the rims. haha. Tell me what you think.

you did a nice job, but I hate black emlems. I think the chrome emblems look nice on the black hatches.

I like the chrome, it helps me park my car very close to the wall at my work without ever touching my frt bumper.

you dont need to buy smoked side markers. you can put this film over them.

get the dark grey .$35. it will be enough to cover your side markers, reflectors, tails and mabye your headlights.
i used it on my last 3 to black it out. if you want to see pics ill post some up for you to see the film on.

What brand/color code of paint did you use?

Krylon Fusion and it was gloss black. I added a gloss clear coat to the front to protect against sand and rocks.
I remember painting my emblems black, and then having it flake off and look like shit cuz the primer didn't stick well. I ended up sanding off the black, and the coat that makes em look chrome, and ending up with a niced brushed look.
