Bigger Alternator?

Yeah, i was wondering if there is any site that i can purchase a higher output alternator, they were telling me i can upgrade it to 20 more amps but for 250 bucks damn i think thats alot for that. was wondering if there is a site if any that i can order a higher output for my 2001 Mazda Protege 2.0 thanks.

i think if not mistaken that the problem lies in that the alternator is computer controlled, or something like that...it turns on/off depending on load and rpm...maybe someone else can enlighten us.
