Has anyone ever had this done.....with any kind of IM? It looks to be benefical and I was just trying to see if anyone has had actual experience with this in any application. I picked up a 626 manifold today and I'm toying with the idea of sending it in.

i got a quote that was around $400 so you will have to decide if its worth the risk I have not seen anyone that has done one here.

I actually found someone who's done it, but not on this forum (RX7club). It is pretty expensive, going by the list it's up to $495 now, $575 if you don't feel like gasket matching yourself. Here's the link for anyone interested.

I have heard that one of the things that was done to the Ford Focus SVT to get it to run better (NA application, though) was to do this to the intake - and that's all they did to the intake supposedly. I'm sure some longer duration cams also helped though.
I've heard it only removes material where it's needed, since the media is flowing through the runner the way that air would (sort of). So that should mean less turbulence, and a more stable cross sectional area.

That's interesting, it definitly couldn't hurt to have done...unless of course it further aggrevates that cold bogging problem with the 626 IM.:(
This guy had it done to his intake and made some really good numbers (for an N/A RX-7).
