i put a ractive cone filter on my intake and when i shut down the car it sounds like air comming out or something, what is it?
also there was a sensor or something that was connected to the stock air box, i had no where to plug it in so i just left it aside, and it hasnt run any codes, so i guess its good? or is it?
thanks.
i will post pictures of it 2nite :)

the sensor thats probably hanging sounds like your temp. sensor. It reads incoming air temperatures and adjusts AFR accordingly.
Am I to understand that you just disconnected the stock airbox and attached a filter to the stock piping?
if this is the case then just secure the sensor (should be a wire probe that resembles something like an antenna) so that it run next to the cone and reads the air as its being pulled into the cone. Otherwise, its fine left hanging (it just might read a few degrees differently than the actual air entering the intake)

i have a AEM sri and it makes that sound when i turn the car off and i love it. there is nothing wrong with the intake if it makes the air swisss sound.

if I remember correctly, that sound is the compressed gasses of the cylinder that didnt fire shortly after you turned your car off. The gasses escape out of the intake port and then out of the intake itself.
According to those scientist people, this is the largest cause of negative emissions from cars and most modern car makers are designing carbon filters in their air-filter compartments to counter this.

you probably don't want to run the stock rubber hose with a filter for too long. the filter will bounce around and get dented and the hose will wear out after a while. as for the little temp sensor, i drilled a hole in the hose and shoved it back in when i did it. i then made a bracket to hold the hose up. i connected the bracket to the maf and the bolt at the battery box. doesn't matter now though, got the k&n typhoon on.

I used a coathanger to hold my stock rubber hose in place with a filter on the end, it worked fine and controlled the bounce. But now got the tubing so im good, and is it supposed to sound like you got a hole in your exhaust with the sri?

Cool, more stuff to take off of a car when I buy it! the more emissions control bs they put on a car, just makes it more of a fun tear town when i mod it!!
