My p5 is white and I'm looking to paint my stock wheels black or bronze.

Can somebody post pics with painted stockers?

search for yellowspeed or yellowspeedinNY (not sure his current SN), he has black P5 wheels on a yellow MSP.

here are some recent pics, mine is the one in silver/cf hood/lip wit painted stockers low gloss black. not a good view but you get the idea. i hope that helps.

Go to Circuit City. Ask for iPod nano covers. Pick one up. Slip it over your knob (boom07)

Wait...So stock didn't come in that color? I have that exact same color and rims on mine. I'm assuming the previous owner sandblasted and powdercoated them? hmm...ha

No, stocks certainly did not come in that color. But it's a nice color. =)

3 coats of primer, 3 of color, 3 of clear? plus sand down b4? how do they hold up on chipped etc?

how long does it take to finish? about? and did you let them set overnight before strapping them back on?

also, is it safe to keep the car on a jack for like 8 hours? i only have two jackstands and i dont have enough time to do two wheels at a time, so i'd have to stick the front on stands and the back on the jack or vice-versa... it's a 2 ton floor jack...is it ok to leave a jack up for that long?

bumpin a old thread for more info. i plan on painted my stock rims black, are the 02 pro5 wheels chrome or silver? mine are the shiney style?? im asking cause there is a place close by who does great powdercoating for cheap, but they cant do chrome??? also whats the easiest way to repair curb rash???

theres a how to on how to fix curb rash. it involves a little bondo, and a lot of time.
turns out very nicely though.
id search, but i just got home from work (graveyard shift yeaaaaa) so im way to tired to look for it

bump. after 6 months as per your original request. white with bronze. (although it looks as if you painted them black :|)

You should look into powder coating...
